Such a great technique, and one that I like doing best when I have great layers all the way through.<\/p>\n<p>When I was offered the chance to review a Terramar Smart Silk V-neck top I took it (they sent it to me free of charge). The top looked slim and the fabric (a blend of Polyester, Nylon, Silk and Spandex and Silk) sounded promising. I&#8217;ve worn it skiing on days with 23 degree Farenheit highs, and during a 9 day trip in Joshua Tree National Park. I&#8217;ve worn it both as a baselayer and as a top layer.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how I evaluate each feature:<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201cPermanent Performance-built in and won&#8217;t wash or wear out<br \/>\nSo far, as advertised.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cFreshGuard\u00c2\u00ae inhibits the growth of bacterial odor<br \/>\nEven after mutiple days of wear in Joshua Tree the shirt does not have that multi-day stink I associate with my first synthetic baselayer shirts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cWicking and fast drying for superior moisture management<br \/>\nI didn&#8217;t really get to put this to a full test since I haven&#8217;t worn it in hot weather, but I will say that I did not feel sweaty under all the layers when skiing on a high of 65 degrees Farenheit day with too many layers on.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cNatural luxurious and soft<\/p>\n<p>I do see this as luxurious (I think the design details lends itself to that impression). I wouldn&#8217;t say it&#8217;s particularly soft, but it&#8217;s certainly not rough or scratchy. I&#8217;d say me not noticing the texture very much is a plus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cAll climate performance<br \/>\nAgain, not tested in hot weather but it did seem to perform well in the ranges I wore it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cEasy care<br \/>\nCheck this one off, machine wash is good.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cDrirelease\u00c2\u00ae<br \/>\nThe wicking seems to work.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u201cUPF rating 25+<br \/>\nI wore this in Joshua Tree and did not get burned (nor did I tan through the shirt).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extra Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I liked the thinness of the shirt, it layered quite well and yet kept me warm enough when needed.<\/p>\n<p>I really like the design detail, it was flattering and different, and the pattern seemed to help regulate temperature.<\/p>\n<p>The sleeves were a little long on me (I had a Medium, I sometime wear Small in outdoor clothing) the rest of it fit perfect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2225\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2225\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"2225\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.rockgrrl.com\/blog\/2013\/03\/joshua-tree-freedom-9-days-climbing-in-the-park\/i-fzpdtgg-l1\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.rockgrrl.com\/blog\/rgadmin\/rockgrrl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/i-fzpdtgg-l1.jpg?fit=400%2C600&amp;ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"400,600\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-meta=\"{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;Eileen D.
